We operate our head office from East London and our design centre from Johannesburg.
ruthanne.com offers delivery throughout South Africa. Currently, we are not able to ship orders received through this website, to other destinations outside of South Africa. It is possible to organise shipment of our goods to other destinations worldwide, but not under the terms and conditions set out in this document. Overseas customers should contact us for further information by emailing us at inquiry@ruthanne.co.za.
You will only be charged for an item that is in stock and ready for despatch. Should you choose to pay for your purchase with your Master or Visa card, Paygate, our third party ecommerce facilitator will process your details directly with your bank. At no time will ruthanne.com be privy or have any access to your credit card information. Only once you have placed any order and we have received confirmation of receipt of payment from Paygate, will ruthanne.com despatch any order.
YOUR REQUIRED INFORMATION
To purchase from ruthanne.com’s website you will need to register a number of details with us. You will be required to provide information about yourself that is up to date and accurate. The key information we will require includes your first name and surname, your e-mail address, your phone number (in case we need to contact you directly about an order query) and your delivery and billing (cardholder) addresses, including accurate postcodes. We will not be able to complete any transactions without the billing address of the credit card used to complete the purchase.
Please take the utmost care when entering the above information in order to help us process your transaction and deliver your goods as quickly as possible.
It is possible to create your own account on ruthanne.com’s website by clicking on the ‘Log In’ or ‘My Account’ button on the main menu. This enables you to store the following:-

Access your rewards voucher balance (for more information click on our ‘Rewards’ button)
Access and update your relevant delivery and contact details securely, so that the purchasing process is easier each time you buy.
It is important that you keep this information up to date and that you select the correct information from your account when completing a transaction. PLEASE NOTE: to maximise security online, we do not allow you to store any credit card details within your account.
COMPLETING YOUR ORDER
Please always double check your order details to confirm you are happy with the quantity and price of the goods you wish to purchase. Always check you have selected the correct size and colour. We have specifically designed the shopping basket so that at any time when shopping/browsing throughout the site, you can view your shopping basket. We have provided a drop down basket which allows you to check (and remove/add) items in your bag at any stage. Simply click on ‘My Shopping Basket’, in the top right hand menu bar. You should always check your basket contents before completing your order. Please also note that all purchases are subject to availability.
Once we have received your order, we will send you a confirmation e-mail thanking you for your order. This email will provide the core details of your order and the payment that will be taken from your credit card in order for the goods to be despatched. This confirmation email does not constitute our acceptance of your order or a guarantee that it can be fulfilled. Should we have any queries about your order or have any problems in fulfilling your order, our Customer Service team will contact you via email or directly.
Should you wish to cancel your order, please see the section below on your “Cancellation Rights”. Please note, cancellation of an order is not the same as the returns process, should you wish to return any items shipped top you. This is also detailed below in the “Returns” section.
PRICING & DELIVERY CHARGES
The prices payable for all items offered on our website are clearly displayed. Our website displays prices in ZAR rands. All prices are shown inclusive of VAT. Your order will be based upon product prices and delivery charges at the time you submit your order. Should you have any reward vouchers you will be given the option to redeem your rand rewards against any order of your choice.
When items are reduced in price for promotional or sale periods, the new price will be displayed in pink with the previous price shown in black with a strikethrough.
Whilst we make every effort to maintain the accuracy of the pricing on our website, the price of an item displayed at the time of your order, may very rarely be inaccurate. We reserve the right to accept or decline an order placed for mis-priced product. Should we be unable to fulfil the order due to a pricing error, we shall contact you regarding the required adjustment and provide you with the opportunity to cancel or accept the order based on the correct pricing. Should an item be reduced to a lower price after an order has been placed but before the merchandise has been delivered, the original order price will be upheld.The delivery charges will be added to the total product value of your order based on the delivery address you’ve selected. The cost of our delivery service is shown at checkout. Further information on delivery costs may be found in the Delivery & Returns section of our website. We reserve the right to change our policy and pricing on delivery, postage and packaging should we deem it necessary.

Should you wish to pay for your purchases via the internet banking or a direct deposit into our bank, you are welcome to do so. Please note that we will only proceed with your order once we have received payment confirmation. Our banking details are available upon selection of payment options during the checkout process. Should you wish to pay via credit card, simply select credit card for your payment option during the checkout process. We obtain authorisation for payment from your card issuer at the time you submit your order. Once we receive payment confirmation will we despatch your order. We reserve the right to cancel your order upon failure of card authorisation. Should you wish to make a direct deposit, Ruth Anne will only despatch once we have received payment confirmation from you.
SECURITY
Ensuring that you are able to browse and shop on ruthanne.com’s website securely is of paramount importance to us. We have created a secure transactional site by using Paygate as a third party ecommerce facilitator. We comply with Master and Visa security requirements and have implemented ‘verified by Visa’ and ‘3D secure’ by MasterCard. Be assured that at no time whatsoever is ruthanne.com privy to your personal credit card details. When PayGate processes a transaction for you, the transaction is encrypted. Paygate make use of the latest SSL encryption which encrypts all data sent from the browser to PayGate in such a way that only Paygate’s servers can read it. The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), is the world standard for secure data transmission over the Internet. SSL uses authentication and encryption technology developed by RSA Data Security Inc. All the mainstream Web browsers such as Netscape's Navigator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer support SSL.
TITLE & RISK
Items that you order remain the property of ruthanne.com until we have received payment in full for those items. Risk and liability for the items pass to you on delivery. Title reverts to ruthanne.com in the event that you cancel your order or return items to us. Should you need to return any items to us, liability for these items remains with you until they are received into ruthanne’s warehouse (the address of which is provided on a pre-printed waybill and returns bag, included in your delivery package.)

DELIVERY
Fedex is our preferred country wide courier. Delivery will be affected between 24 to 48 hours should the order be confirmed before 2pm, depending whether your delivery address falls within a major area or an outlying area. Delivery costs will be calculated for you on checkout. Our research has shown that delivery costs work out on average to R55 per delivery, which could include up to 3 garments depending on the accumulated weight thereof. So it pays you to order two or three garments try to try on in the comfort of you own home and returns on the unwanted items for free.
Please note that all delivery times are based around working days (Mon-Fri) and refer to the time from which we despatch your order. Please note that the day we receive your order may not be the day you placed your order. If you place an order on Sunday, for example, the order will be processed through our order management system on Monday.
Delivery times represent the level of service we endeavour to achieve for all orders. We are not able to guarantee to deliver products at a particular time on a particular date. On occasion we may incur internal delays, which will increase these time frames. We use the FEDEX for the distribution of our packages. On occasion delays beyond our control may be caused by FEDEX.
Packages will be delivered to the delivery address which was provided when the order was placed. You must make arrangements to receive packages despatched to that address. A signature will be required for proof of receipt. If it is not possible to deliver the goods, FEDEX will leave instructions of how to pick up your package from their nearest sorting office.
On occasion it may be necessary to despatch an order in separate packages or in separate batches. Where an order cannot immediately be fulfilled in its entirety you will be contacted directly to establish how you would like us to manage the remainder of your order.
RETURNS
Delivery costs of returned items are free, except in a case where a garment is returned 'faulty' and that fault is not a fabric nor manufacturing fault.
In addition to your right to cancel an order, ruthanne.com also provides for the following return options.
Any items purchased at our normal full retail price may be returned to us for refund or exchange within 7 days of receipt. Please return faulty goods as soon you become aware of the fault.
Sale items or products purchased under ‘Special Promotions’ that involve a reduction in price from the normal retail price must be returned within 7 days of receipt. Please return faulty goods as soon you become aware of the fault.
Refunds will be processed as quickly as possible (we aim for within 14 days), but customers should allow up to 30 days for a refund to be completed to their credit card. For details on how best to return items, please see the Delivery & Returns section of the website.
